Arguably, one of the best ways to explore the beautiful landscapes and history of North Wales, is on foot. The Towering Mountain ridges and glaciated valleys of Snowdonia are a must.
Enjoying an equal share of the North Wales's natural beauty is Anglesey itself. The Coastal path is right outside the hotel's front door, and views of the sheer cliff faces of Gogarth being met by the Irish Sea is not to be missed. Anglesey itself is shrouded in history with ruins and landmarks dating back to Neolithic times.
You decide how challenging you would like your trip to be. For the more adventurous, a return journey to the summit of Snowdon, Wales's highest peak is a great team challenge. North Wales boasts 14 mountains over 3000ft high, so together with a hearty packed lunch and our experienced guides...A fantastic day out awaits!!! We are fortunate enough to have our very own Mountain here on Anglesey. The summit of ‘Holyhead Mountain' is lower than Snowdon but when approached from the coastal path in full view of the spectacular sea cliffs of South Stack and North Stack, is a magnificent outing.
Our local guides are qualified Mountaineering Instructors with a wealth of knowledge and experience. They will provide all of the equipment needed and we will make sure you have plenty of food and snacks to tuck into along the way. Whether you go for a stroll along the coastal path or a scramble along a Mountain ridge, you will enjoy an adventurous outing and be entertained literally every ‘STEP' of the way.
Dress: Warm clothing. Water-proof jacket and trousers and small rucksack if you have one. Sturdy footwear-no high heels, sandals or jeans!
Duration: Minimum half a day but if you would like to walk in the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park, a full day is recommended
Food and Drink: We will provide packed lunches for you but if your'e doing a lengthy walk or venturing up into the mountains, we suggest you bring some high energy snacks and a flask and/or extra water in a plastic bottle. (a great excuse to buy sweets and chocolate!)
Special Notes: Your day will be tailored to suit the group's desires and abilities. Your group can be broken down into smaller parties if different things want to be achieved from the day. An example might be one party doing the Snowdon Horseshoe and another doing a low level walk around the old copper mines.
